Hi IE team,
After close to 6 years of getting my CCNP, and less than three years of getting my written exam, I have passed my R&S lab on my third attempt.
I had used your lab workbooks for over a year and a half, but to tell you the truth what actually made a big difference was the Advanced Technologies on-demand course. It was a whole new experience listening to Brians putting their experience verbally. I have learned lots of things, and realized the mistakes that I was doing. I also followed their strategy for the lab (reading it all through, putting a table with points of accomplished tasks, etc...). This proved greatly useful, although I was skeptic of such approach when I heard it.
Thanks guys, you are doing a great job. I am now more enthusiastic than ever to gain one or more additional CCIE certifications (security, and service provider).

Product Overview:
Internetwork Expert’s CCIE Routing & Switching Open Lecture Series is an ongoing online course - keeping in line with our revolutionary CCIE 2.0 Program model - which provides candidates continuing live interaction with the industry’s most experienced CCIE authors and instructors. The dynamic format of this series ensures that candidates always have an outlet for getting their questions answered in real-time throughout the lifetime of their preparation.
Drop Into Class Anytime:
With the Open Lecture Series candidates can drop into any class session at any time to interact with our instructors in real-time. Two to three - 4 to 5 hour - sessions on average are scheduled per week on pre-defined topics. This means that if your lab preparation takes 8 months, you could potentially attend over 100 days of class, as opposed to a traditional 5-day brick-and-mortar class. In addition to pre-defined topics on the schedule, additional open instructor hours are also included.
Open Instructor Hours:
With open instructor hours candidates can join a session to discuss any topic of their choice, much like how a professor’s office hours work in a traditional university. This means that if you’re having trouble understanding Catalyst QoS, our instructors can walk you step-by-step through the topic – just ask!
Class-on-Demand Included:
Best of all, any session that candidates want to go back and review, or were unable to attend, is immediately available in electronic Class-on-Demand format following the conclusion of a class session. These Class-on-Demand modules are available in a self-paced online format, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Differences between the Live Edition and other editions:
Internetwork Expert’s CCIE Routing & Switching Open Lecture Series – Live Edition – offers a continuing course schedule where candidates can drop into class at any time to interact with our instructors in real-time through our state-of-the-art online classroom. This option gives candidates the most benefit of this series, as the online classroom format provides candidates synchronous real-time communication with our instructors through VoIP, text chat, whiteboards, slides, and live command-line examples through screen sharing.
Ongoing Schedule:
Two to three - 4 to 5 hour - live sessions on average are scheduled per week on pre-defined topics, along with additional open instructor hours. With open instructor hours candidates can join a class session to discuss any topic of their choice, much like how a professor’s office hours work in a traditional university.
Class-on-Demand Included:
When you purchase the Live Edition, you will also be given free access to the Online Class-on-Demand Edition as well. This enables you to go back and review any session, whether you were able to attend or not, and is immediately available following the conclusion of that online class session.
Differences between the Class-on-Demand Edition and other editions:
Internetwork Expert’s CCIE Routing & Switching Open Lecture Series – Class-on-Demand Edition – offers candidates the exact same content found in the Live Edition, but it is available in a self-paced online format, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Added Flexibility:
Although the Open Lecture Series is most beneficial in the Live Edition, which provides candidates continuing synchronous real-time communication with our instructors, the Class-on-Demand Edition is targeted towards candidates who are unable to attend the live sessions due to scheduling conflicts. Note that all Live Edition purchases automatically include the Class-on-Demand Edition as well.
Continuously Evolving Content:
Unlike the other one-week or two-week Class-on-Demand offerings that we have, the Open Lecture Series Class-on-Demand is a continuously growing and evolving series. Two to three Live Edition sessions are scheduled per week on pre-defined topics, along with additional open instructor hours. All of these sessions are immediately available in Class-on-Demand format following the conclusion of the class session. This means that the Open Lecture Series has no upper limit on the amount of content that is included, and will grow to thousands of hours as the series progresses.
Short Targeted Sessions:
Best of all each of the sessions is indexed in detail, meaning that you can watch a 30 minute session on BGP Confederations or Legacy Frame Relay Traffic Shaping, without having to sort through other topics that are unnecessary for you.
