Overview

Through our exclusive partnership with Graded Labs, Internetwork Expert now offers the CCIE Routing & Switching Polymorphic Assessment Lab! The Polymorphic Assessment Lab was designed to assess how proficient you are on the topics and technologies covered by the Cisco CCIE Routing & Switching Lab. This lab is dynamically generated based on a self-assessment of your knowledge of the technologies covered by the Cisco CCIE Routing & Switching Blueprint. Each lab generated is unique to you and all the tasks were written by the outstanding instructors at Internetwork Expert.

The goal of this assessment is not to gauge your readiness for the CCIE Exam, but rather to pinpoint your areas of weakness. The Polymorphic Assessment Lab ranges in both difficulty and time, depending on your self-assessment. There are seven technologies covered that map to the Cisco Technology Blueprint: Bridging and Switching, IP IGP Routing, BGP, IP and IOS Features, IP Multicast, QoS, and Security. This is the best tool to measure your training progress in the industry today.

Please note: Rack rental time is not included in the standard 25 tokens. You must purchase tokens for rack rental sessions as well.

Details

This assessment tool is designed to help you pinpoint the CCIE technologies where you need more preparation. Taking this lab will help you focus studying and training efforts on specific technologies so you can become proficient. The lab will first prompt you to self assess yourself on each of the seven technologies covered by the Polymorphic Assessment Lab. You will rank yourself from beginner to expert. Based on your ranking for each technology, a tailored lab is built for you. The time to complete the lab will be dependent upon your custom settings and the approximate time to complete the lab will be shown to you. For this reason, rack rental time is not included.  Once you have completed each task in the lab, your configurations will be automatically graded and you will receive a detailed score report. This report is saved to your members account and can be viewed at any time. The generated Polymorphic Labs are designed to be taken only on racks rented from Graded Labs. Rack rental sessions are scheduled in advance for 5.5 hour time blocks. They are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Score Reports

The score report for your Polymorphic Assessment Lab is divided into four parts: overview, discussion, recommendations, and a task by task score breakdown (solutions included). The overview section of the score report provides a summary of how well you preformed on each one of the seven technologies. This information includes your score and the highest possible score for each technology along with an overall score.

The discussion section calculates your Points per Hour (PPH), a key measure in the actual Cisco CCIE Routing & Switching Exam. The minimum needed to pass the lab is 10 PPH. Also included in this section is your self-rank (beginner to expert) shown next to the Student Assessment Grading Engine (SAGE) rank (beginner to expert). You will be shown which sections you underperformed and which sections you outperformed your expectations.

The recommendations section helps you determine which products and/or services from Internetwork Expert should be used to become more proficient in each of the seven technologies. This information will be helpful to you to know if you are ready to take part in an Internetwork Expert Routing & Switching CCIE Bootcamp, or if you need to refine your skills by attending a CCIE Routing & Switching Mock Lab Workshop.

The final section of the score report is the task-by-task score breakdown. In this section you will see the detailed assertions into how your exams were graded. You are able to navigate down into each individual task to see your input as well as the correct input if you happen to miss a task. This information can provide insight into what steps of the configuration you missed and how to not make the same mistakes next time.
